Jennifer Aniston plays Justine, a small-town
Texas store clerk trapped in a stale marriage with a husband, Phil, who
she suspects is infertile due to his chronic pot smoking. Frustrated
and feeling neglected, she finds a seemingly kindred spirit in Holden
(Jake Gyllenhaal), a younger clerk claiming to be named after the
famous J.D. Salinger character. Before long, the two begin an affair,
but things become complicated when she gets pregnant and her husband's
best friend, Bubba (Tim Blake Nelson), threatens to reveal her secret.
