The
"Flash" is a name shared by several fictional comic book superheroes
from the DC Comics universe.
Created by writer
Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert, the original Flash first appeared
in
Flash Comics #1 (1940). Once nicknamed the "Scarlet Speedster," the
Flash possesses "super-speed," which includes the ability to run and
move extremely fast, use superhuman reflexes, and seemingly violate
certain
laws of physics. Thus far, 4 different characters have assumed the
identity of
the Flash, and each has been a key member of either the Justice Society
of
America or the Justice League, DC's all-star teams. |
