It concerns a family of cannibals in Texas who abduct customers from their gas station. One of the main characters-- Leatherface-- has become a very well-known villain in horror cinema, notable for his mask of human skin, his blood-soaked butcher's apron, and the chainsaw he wields. The original movie spawned 3 sequels as well as a remake, which has so far generated its own prequel.
